Klebenow led Chapman to a fifth-place finish at the SCIAC Championships with a 2-0 record in singles and 3-0 mark in doubles on the weekend. In singles, the senior won on the No. 5 court 6-1, 6-1 against Cal Lutheran on Friday.

The senior playmaker concluded a fabulous four-year career with the Panthers with three goals and an assist during Chapman's run to the SCIAC Championships semifinals last week. The Centennial, Colo. native scored twice in the second half to help the Panthers build a sizeable second-half lead and beat Claremont 13-9 in her final game at Wilson Field on Wednesday night.

Senior RHP Travis McGee threw a complete game shutout against Whittier College on Saturday, helping Chapman move into a first-place tie in the SCIAC standings. In seven innings, McGee surrendered a mere three hits and four walks, while striking out eight batters as the Panthers 'run-ruled' the Poets 10-0.

Junior women's tennis player Sophia Duong has been red hot on the hardcourt earning two more wins over the weekend against Cal Lutheran and La Verne. Duong has earned a team-leading 18-3 overall record this season, including a 7-1 mark in SCIAC competition.

Chapman sophomore lacrosse midfielder Brooke Martini continued her standout season with a career best on Saturday. Martini scored a career-high six goals in the team's 10-6 win against Whitter College.

The Panthers' senior first baseman went batted .500 (6-for-12) in a three-game series with Redlands over the weekend. Saatzer hit two home runs, scored two runs and added seven RBI in the series, including a combined 5-for-9 in the doubleheader at Redlands on Saturday, hitting his both homers and driving in six all in a day's work.

The sophomore backstop put together quite a week offensively in leading the Panthers to a 6-2 record and helping them climb back into the SCIAC race with a nine-game winning streak and winners of 12 of 14 overall. Perez batted .500 for the week (11-for-22) with five extra-base hits, including a 4-for-4 performance vs. George Fox (Ore.) at the Tucson Invitational Games on Saturday.

Somebody finally figured out how to beat freshman men's tennis player Charlie Werman. The rookie lost his first singles match of the spring last week snapping a six-match winning streak that included a three-set win on the No. 4 court against 17th-nationally ranked Pomona-Pitzer.

Senior OF Andrew Carbajal compiled 15 hits in 25 at-bats (.600 BA) on the week, extending his hitting streak to 18 games, dating back to last season. He totaled two doubles, eight runs scored, two RBI and three walks in the week's six games.

Cook's seven hits on the week surpassed his freshman season total and outpaced the rest of the conference through the first week of games.

The junior goaltending duo of Kirsten Spicer and Jordan Gilmore put together a dominating effort in the cage in the women's water polo team's season-opening tournament in Redlands on Sunday. The pair combined for 23 saves and just two goals allowed as the No. 7-ranked Panthers upset No. 3 Redlands 10-1 and then knocked off Division II opponent Cal State San Bernardino 11-1.

The junior guard scored 47 points over two conference games last week, including a career-best 31 points in an overtime loss to Occidental. Zavrsnick has maintained his hot-handed shooting all season, converting 15-of-28 shots on the week including 7-of-17 shooting from three-point range.
