Bio

Alberto Huerta joined the Chapman University athletic training staff in 2020. He returns to Chapman, where he earned his graduate degree in 2017.

Huerta comes back to Chapman after working as an Athletic Trainer at nearby Saddleback College over the last three years. His professional career also includes experience with gold medal winning youth USA Baseball teams in international tournaments, as well as time at Matt Leinert’s flag football league and SoCal Youth Rugby.

He has a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from Chico State and earned his Master’s in Athletic Training from Chapman in 2017.

A first generation Mexican-American, Huerta is bilingual in Spanish and English. He is a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer, and is a BLS Instructor for the American Heart Association. He also has a CDC Heads Up Concussion Certificate.
