Fall athletes recognized on SCIAC All-Academic teams

ORANGE, Calif. – Chapman University student-athletes were well-represented as the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference named its All-Academic teams by sport for the fall season. Leading the way for the Panthers was football, which garnered 15 honorees. In all, there were 50 Panthers recognized which ranked third among the nine SCIAC institutions.

Women’s soccer came in with 13 honorees, followed by men’s soccer (six), women’s cross country (six) and women's volleyball (six). Men’s water polo (three) and men’s cross country (one) round out the fall sports selections for Chapman.

To be eligible the student-athlete must have at least a 3.4 cumulative grade point average at the current institution, must have completed one full calendar year at the at the current institution and must have reached sophomore athletic eligibility.  In the case of transfers, graduate students, and two-year college graduates, the student-athlete must have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution.
