Winter athletes recognized on SCIAC All-Academic teams

ORANGE, Calif. – Fourteen Chapman University winter sports student-athletes have been recognized for their achievement in the classroom by the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference which named its All-Academic teams by sport on Wednesday.

Leading the way for the Panthers was women’s swimming and diving with six athletes honored. Women’s basketball had five players named, followed by a pair of men’s basketball players and one men’s swimmer to round out the winter sports selections for Chapman.

To be eligible the student-athlete must have at least a 3.4 cumulative grade point average at the current institution, must have completed one full calendar year at the at the current institution and must have reached sophomore athletic eligibility.  In the case of transfers, graduate students, and two-year college graduates, the student-athlete must have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution.
