Baseball honored with ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University baseball team concluded another championship season with the Team Academic Excellence Award from the American Baseball Coaches Association. The annual award for academic achievement went out to nearly 700 high school and college programs in 2022.

The ABCA annually recognizes high school and college programs that achieve a team GPA of 3.0 or greater. With a 3.342 team GPA in 2021-22, Chapman was one of 420 collegiate programs to earn the honor.

The Panthers ended the 2022 season at the top of the SCIAC standings for the third year in a row and advanced to the SUper Regionals for the second time.
