Chapman Family Homecoming Game

Game Notes:

• Chapman will play its first home SCIAC game this season, where it has a 7-1 record against the conference. The Panthers hold a 12-3 record over conference foes since joining the SCIAC in 2012, and are picked to finish first in the conference in 2014, according to D3Football.com.

• The Panthers are 10-1 all-time against Pomona-Pitzer, including eight wins in a row dating back to 2006. The Sagehens have lost their first three games of the season and six straight dating back to last season.

• In just his third game back from an injury that held him out all of last season, junior RB Jeremiah McKibbins was the Panthers' first 100-yard rusher this season, gaining 137 yards and three touchdowns on just 18 carries (7.6 yds/att) including a season-high 60-yard touchdown run on Saturday at Claremont. McKibbins leads the SCIAC in rushing touchdowns with five.

• Chapman is looking to break its own home-attendance record this Saturday for Homecoming Weekend, a record that was set at last year's Homecoming, when 5,430 fans were in attendance at Ernie Chapman Stadium. The Panthers lead the SCIAC in attendance, averaging 3,132 fans per game.

• Winners of their past three Homecoming games, the Panthers will try to continue their offensive prowess in those games, averaging 50.6 ppg including a 72 points in last season's victory over Whittier.

• With a win, the Panthers can move their all-time Division III record over .500 for the first time since 2002. Chapman is 92-92-1 since moving to Division III in 1994.

• The Panthers, who lead the conference in rushing with 225.3 ypg will look to run right at a Pomona-Pitzer defense that has allowed 218.5 ypg, second worst in the conference.
