WEINSTEIN TO THE HOUSE

Ethan Weinstein's pick-six interception was returned for 77 yards, tying 1994's Malcolm King for second-longest return on a pick-six in Chapman Football history. Chapman's Dino Rossi made the longest pick-six in 1999, returned for 86 yards.
• Weinstein is also only the second player in Chapman's history to have returned an interception and a kickoff for touchdowns in the same year. Dino Rossi accomplished the same feat in 1999.
• Weinstein's interception was just the 13th pick-six in Chapman Football history, the third in this millennia, and the first since November of 2007.

CARRYING THE LOAD

• While sophomore Mac Vail has provided a lift in the game through the air, senior Jeremiah McKibbins has ran for over 400 yards in the last two weeks with five touchdowns.
• McKibbins now owns or is at least tied for eight different school rushing records. He broke off his longest run of the year last week, a 62-yard scamper.

VAIL RESPONDS AT HOME

• In his first start in front of the home crowd, Vail was impressive. He completed seven of his 10 passes for 163 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He has completed 63 percent of his passes and owns a 213.91 efficiency rating.
• Vail have been able to find multiple receivers behind the defense, connecting with Sean Myers, Devin Kelly and Noah Rivard for TDs over 30 yards. He has thrown three for over 50 yards, hitting Rivard for TD strikes of 56 and 85 yards and Myers for 72 yards last week.

SERIES HISTORY

• La Verne is riding high as the only undefeated team left in the SCIAC at 4-0. The Leopards have already taken down Redlands, Claremont-M-S and Occidental. They have not scored less than 30 points in any SCIAC game thus far.
• The Panthers own the slight advantage in the all-time matchup with an 11-10 record against La Verne. Chapman has won the last four matchups with the Leopards. La Verne's last win in the series came with a 30-21 victory over Chapman at home in 2010.
