Moore recognized as SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week

ORANGE, Calif. – Junior Hayden Moore has been selected as the SCIAC Men's Offensive Athlete of the Week. Moore knocked down 11 three-pointers last week.

With the season winding down and the Panthers chasing down one of the last spots in the SCIAC Tournament, Moore delivered a big-time performance to jumpstart the offense. He scored 27 points in a big win over Cal Lutheran and dished out six assists in Saturday's win over Whittier.

Moore hit 9-of-17 three-pointers in the win over Cal Lutheran to get his career-high of 27 points. He went 5-for-7 beyond the arc in the second half as the Panthers pulled away from a tight game at halftime. He hit two more threes against Whittier in another huge win but became a distributor with six assists as the Panthers pulled away in the middle stage of the game.

Chapman is still in reach of a tournament spot but currently sit in sixth in the standings. They travel out to Redlands for a crucial game with Bulldogs on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
