Men's golf takes fourth in TMC Spring Invitational

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The Chapman University men's golf team finished fourth in the 12-team three-round The Masters College Spring Invitational March 3-4 at Robinson Ranch. Senior Rohan Bahri led the Panthers individually finishing tied for third overall in the tournament.

Division III's No. 20 ranked Panthers finished with a final score of 908 (302-297-309) in a tournament that featured a mix of NCAA Division III and NAIA schools, including No. 7-ranked Cal Lutheran University. Going into the final round, Chapman was in fifth place overall with a score of 599. The Panthers shot a final round 309 to move them up a spot to finish fourth in the invitational.

Chapman was led by a strong performance from Bahri, who finished the tournament with a final three-round score of 221, including an even-par final round score of 72 – a round that included three birdies. Junior Giovanni Chiappano finished in a tie for 15th by earning a final score of 228, including carding 36 pars. Bahri and junior Kent Paisley each finished tied for second in total birdies (10). Freshman Bryan Wise shot Chapman's lowest score of the tournament on Monday afternoon with a round-two 70 (-2).

The Panthers will host Pomona-Pitzer in their first home match of the season March 13 at the Tustin Ranch Golf Club. Chapman finished ahead of the Sagehens in each of the two tournaments featuring both teams.
