Golf finishes tied for third at Baldy View Shootout

UPLAND HILLS, Calif.­­­­­­ – The Chapman University men's golf team finished tied for third in the six-team Baldy View Shootout on Saturday at Upland Hills Golf Course, posting a final score of 299 and finishing 20 strokes behind tournament winner and Division III's No. 8 University of La Verne.

Senior Rohan Bahri led the Panthers by carding a final score of 72 on the par 70 course. Bahri finished tied for eighth place in the 39-man tournament which was hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

Freshman Bryan Wise finished tied for 18th by shooting a 75, continuing his streak of finishing in the top 20 in each of his six matches this season.

The junior pair of Giovanni Chiappano and Kent Paisley each shot a 76 and finished in a three-way tie for 20th place.

The Panthers currently sit in fifth place in the SCIAC standings with one dual match left at home against Cal Lutheran Wednesday at Tustin Ranch, before heading to the SCIAC Championships April 27-29
