Panthers finish fourth at CA State Intercollegiate

HEMET, Calif. – The Chapman University men's golf team finished fourth overall in the CA State Intercollegiate at Diamond Valley Golf Club. The Panthers showed improvement from day one to day two of the tournament carding a team total of 597 (+21).  

In his collegiate debut freshman Sian Rogers finished the two-day tournament carding a 143 (-1) to tie for fifth place. The freshman shot par on day one and improved to a 71 (-1) on day two.

Captain senior Bryan Wise shot a 71 (-1) on day one, finishing tied for sixth on the first day of the match. On day two, the senior shot a 74 (+2) to finish the match tied for ninth overall.

Sophomore Griffin Tso finished tied for 36th overall. Tso recorded a 79 (+7) on day one and improved to a 74 (+2) on day two to tally a final score of 153 (+9) overall.

Junior Kyle John and senior Chuck Pedone rounded out the Panthers final scores, finishing tied for 44th overall, carding a 159 (+15) over the two day match.

The Panthers will return to the green on Wednesday, Oct. 12 for a dual match with Whittier College at Tustin Ranch.
