Men's golf opens spring season with strong round against Cal Lutehran
ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University men's golf team opened the spring season with a dual round against Cal Lutheran on Tuesday. Senior Zach Gellens tied for second to lead the Panthers in the spring-opener.
Gellens was three-over par at Tierra Rejada with a 75, finishing just two strokes behind the leader from Cal Lutheran. Sophomore Brody Hval tied for fifth at six-over par and junior Brent Bjorndahl was seven-over par in seventh place.
Seniors Griffin Tso and Dallas Haun each ended the round eight-over par in a tie for eighth.
The Panthers are back on the course on Friday for a quad match with Whittier Pomona-Pitzer and La Verne. The one round match will be played at Industry Hills Golf Club in Industry, Calif.
