Allen honored as SCIAC Athlete of the Week

ORANGE, Calif. -  Senior Willis Allen had the hot hand last week scoring 21 goals for the Chapman University men's water polo team over a three-game span. On Wednesday, Allen set a personal career-high of nine goals in an overtime upset against Whittier College.

On Friday, the utility matched his career-high with nine goals on Senior Day against Division I No.17-ranked Air Force Academy. Allen scored seven of his nine goals in the first half as the Panthers pushed the Falcons to the very end. The senior also tallied three goals in the first quarter in a win over Caltech on Saturday. 

Over the week, Allen also tallied four assists, five steals and five earned ejections in addition to 21 goals in the three matches. Allen ranks second in SCIAC and leads the Panthers with 49 goals this season.
