Perez caps career with All-Region honors

ORANGE, Calif. – Senior Lisa Perez finished her career with All-West Region honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. She earned All-West Region third team honors for the first All-Region selection of her career and first for the Panthers since 2013.

The senior catcher from La Mirada, Calif. took home her first All-SCIAC honors this season after she was selected to the First Team directly following the season. A four-year starter behind the plate, Perez enjoyed a career year on the offensive end as a senior.

She hit .333 while starting in all 38 games this season and led the squad with six homers and 23 RBI. Both are also career-bests for Perez. She ranked seventh in the SCIAC while slugging .605 this year – another career-high.

Over her four-year career, Perez smacked 27 doubles, eight triples and 13 home runs while driving in 66 RBI and scoring 69 runs. She was a career .296 hitter with a career .8447 OPS.
