Toole wins fourth SCIAC diving title

ORANGE, Calif. – For the fourth time in her career, senior Kellyn Toole won a SCIAC diving title. Toole captured the title on the 1-meter board on the first day of the SCIAC Diving Championships on Saturday.

Toole was in second place after the preliminary round with an 11-dive score of 430.20. She boosted her score to a 443.20 to overcome Pomona-Pitzer's Emma Van Der Veen for the title in the finals of the 1-meter event.

Toole won both diving events as a freshman and won again on the 3-meter board as a junior. She has been in the top-2 on both boards at the SCIAC Championships during every year of her career.

Freshman Roisin Cunningham took 19th with a 195.55.

The women's 3-meter championship will take place tomorrow at 1 p.m. with the finals at 7 p.m.
