Toole make more history, qualifies for nationals

GRINNELL, Iowa – Senior Kellyn Toole has rewritten Chapman's diving record book in the last four years and added to her legacy in her final trip to the NCAA Region 2 Diving Championships. Toole placed third on the 3-meter board on Friday to qualify for next week's NCAA Division III Championships.

The senior from Centennial, Colo., scored a 386.25 to finish third and become the first-ever Chapman diver to qualify for the national championships.

In the 11-dive format, Toole was in fourth place after 10 dives. Her 11th dive propelled her into third place to guarantee her spot at nationals.

She will dive again on the 1-meter board tomorrow at 10 a.m. before heading to Greensboro, N.C for the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships on Mar. 20.
