TIME: Field Events – 9:30 AM, Running Events 12:00 PM. The SCIAC meet schedule is listed below.
ENTRIES: Entries are due Thursday, March 26 at 1:00 PM through Direct Athletics. Entry marks must have been achieved in 2015 or the entry should be listed as no time or no mark. By the same Thursday, March 26 deadline, please also email your heat 1 names to Anna Wlodarczyk: awlodarc@chapman.edu . Include in the email which one male and one female athlete you would like in your assigned lane in the race (100,200,400,100/110 H, 400 H) and which three males and females in the 800. Entries will be posted on www.chapmanathletics.com by Thursday evening/Friday morning.
COACHES MEETING: Coaches may enter or scratch athletes from events at a mandatory coaches’ meeting at 10:45 AM on meet day. If necessary, heats and lanes will be revised following the meeting .
CHECK-IN: Athletes must declare for their event(s) no later than 10 minutes prior to their event’s schedule time. Additions that would require adding an additional heat will be discouraged. Field events athletes check in at their event site. Running events athletes check in at the clerk tent by the 100m start. Running events athletes are encouraged to check in early. Field events athletes check in at your event site at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the first flight of your event.
WEIGH-INS: Implements weigh-ins will take place on the west side of the track (near the training room) 8-11 AM. Please allow plenty of time to weigh javelin and hammers in at the stadium and then to travel to the upper competition sides.
FIELD EVENTS: Each field event competitor shall receive three preliminary attempts. Up to three competitors from each school will then advance by best mark to the finals and receive three more attempts.
FACILITIES: Rekortan 8 lanes track - ¼” pyramid spikes requested. The hammer and javelin will take place on the upper campus (half a mile from the stadium). Transportation will be provided to and from the upper fields. The javelin will be thrown from a grass runway.
TIMING: Finish Lynx Electronic FAT System. Results will be available on bulletin board next to the equipment sheds north of the stadium, and will be posted online following the meet.
