Criswell honored as SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week

ORANGE, Calif. – Senior Lucy Criswell went on a tear last week and was rewarded with SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week honors. Criswell had a career night on Wednesday and made some moves in the Chapman record books.

The senior out of Portland, Ore. went off for 32 points in a loss to Redlands on Wednesday and followed it up with 23 points in Chapman's overtime win at La Verne on Saturday. She averaged 27.5 points and 10 rebounds per game while shooting 46.9 percent from the field and 42.1 percent beyond the three-point arc.

During her career-best tying 32-point performance against Redlands, she set a Chapman record while going 13-for-13 at the free throw line. With her next five points against La Verne, Criswell moved into third all-time on Chapman's scoring list and now has 1,287 career points. Her 554 career rebounds rank fourth and are just 12 shy of the third spot on the list.

Criswell wraps up her career on Saturday when the Panthers take on Caltech at 4 p.m.
