Criswell, Campas recognized on All-SCIAC teams

ORANGE, Calif. – Senior Lucy Criswell and sophomore Julianna Campas were each selected to the All-SCIAC women's basketball teams, the conference announced on Wednesday. Criswell earned recognition for the third year in a row while Campas earned her first career honor.

Criswell was named to the First Team for the second time in her career. She was the SCIAC Player of the Year as a sophomore, earned Second Team honors as a junior and is back on the First Team as a senior. She led the Panthers and ranked third in the SCIAC 17.2 points per game in SCIAC games. She also ranked second with 31 blocked shots and fourth with a career-best 8.8 rebounds per game in SCIAC contests.

The forward from Portland, Ore. ended her career with a school-record tying 38-point performance against Caltech – her second 30-point game in the last three games of her career. Against Redlands, she set the school record for most made free throws in a game without a miss by knocking down 13-of-13 in a 32-point night against Redlands. She had at least one blocked shot in all but two games this year and became the first Chapman player to graduate with over 1,300 points, 500 rebounds and 100 blocked shots.

Campas emerged as a scoring threat for the Panthers in her sophomore season to earn Second Team recognition. She drained a SCIAC-best 47 three-pointers in conference play and ranked sixth in the conference with 15.1 points per game. She scored at least 20 points seven times this season with six of those coming in conference play.

The guard for Novato, Calif. averaged over 33 minutes per game in her first year as a starter for the Panthers and ranked second on the team with 24 steals.

Chapman finished its season on Saturday with a 12-13 overall record and 7-9 mark in the SCIAC.
