Women’s golf places fourth at SCIAC #1

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University women's golf team finished fourth out of eight teams in their first SCIAC meet of the season. The Panthers shot a 656 (+80), but improved by 16 strokes from day one to day two.

Freshman Kristen Lee was the top finisher for Chapman, tying for 10th place overall with a total score of 160 (+16). She shaved off four strokes in the second round, shooting 82 (+10) in the first round and 78 (+6) in the second round.

Senior Emily Lewis finished second for the Panthers with an overall score of 162 (+18), tying for 14th place overall. Sophomore Lauren Settle took 17th place overall with a total score of 164 (+20) for the two rounds. Senior Marisa Bhanubandh finished 26th with a total score of 170 (+26).

The Panthers have two weeks off before they face off against Vanguard University at Tustin Ranch on Monday, March 4 at 11:30 a.m.
