Zahn earns IWLCA All-Region

ORANGE, Calif. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association announced the 2019 All-Region teams this afternoon. Senior Danielle Zahn earned a spot on the All-West Region Second Team after a record-breaking season for the Panthers.

The awards just keep rolling in for Zahn as she earned her third consecutive All-SCIAC honor and Academic All-District last week. This is the senior's first time earning All-Region accolades.

The Mission Viejo native broke seven school records this season to lead the Panthers to their seventh consecutive appearance in the SCIAC Postseason Tournament. She now holds the school record with 185 career ground balls and 171 career draw controls. This season alone, Zahn set the single-season record for draw controls (81) and free-position goals (22). She also set three single-game records with seven goals in one game, eight points in a single game and six free-position goals.

Zahn racked up 120 goals in her four-year career at Chapman, ranking second all-time in program history and her 142 career points ranks fourth all-time. This season, the team captain led the Panthers with a career-high 39 goals. She also picked up 50 ground balls, tallied 81 draw controls and caused 23 turnovers.
