Novak named Director of Lacrosse at NVU-Lyndon

ORANGE, Calif. – Chapman University women's lacrosse assistant coach Courtney Novak has been hired at NVU-Lyndon as the Director of Lacrosse. Novak spent the pandemic-shortened 2020 season with the Panthers.

"We have been lucky enough to have Courtney Novak as our assistant coach for the past year," said head coach Daniel Kirkpatrick. "Through hard work, enthusiasm and genuine passion; Coach Novak has left her mark on this program."

Novak helped the Panthers to a 3-4 record before the season was ended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After an 0-3 start, the Panthers looked to have turned a corner in March. They won three of their last four matches and scored 51 goals in the final five halves of the season.

As the offensive coordinator for Chapman, Novak had the offense rolling over their final matches, including back-to-back 20-goal performances to end the season. Seven different players scored at least six goals in the seven-match season.

Kirkpatrick added, "We are sad to see her go but the Chapman family is excited for her and the next chapter of her career as NVU-Lyndon Director of Lacrosse."
