Women's lacrosse recognized for academic achievement by IWLCA

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University women's lacrosse team was recognized on the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association's list of Academic Honor Squads. Seven student-athletes also were honored individually on the Academic Honor Roll.

The IWLCA annually honors teams for achieving a team GPA of 3.2 or above. Chapman was one of 398 women's lacrosse programs across all three divisions of the NCAA as well as the NAIA to earn the recognition as an Academic Honor Squad. The Panthers finished the 2021-22 school year with a 3.487 team GPA.

To earn individual recognition, student-athlete must be juniors, seniors or graduate students and achieve the high benchmark of a 3.5 cumulative GPA. Chapman's seven members to surpass a 3.5 are Avery High, Alex Jones, Sophia Licitra, Elise Mayer, Jessica Ricketts, Alexis Singleton and Corinn Valeri.

Chapman's group of seven honorees joined a list of 1,104 student-athlete from 194 institutions on the 2022 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll.
