Women's soccer earns sixth consecutive academic award

ORANGE, Calif. – For the sixth year in a row and 11th time overall, the Chapman University women's soccer team has earned the Team Academic Award from the United Soccer Coaches.

College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2019-20 academic year.

The Panthers put together a 3.54 team GPA during the 2019-20 school year to earn the annual recognition. Over the summer, 20 student-athletes were recognized as SCIAC All-Academic – over three-quarters of the roster.

Head coach Courtney Calderon's squads have earned the award every year since 2015 and 11 times overall since 2002. The 2019 Panthers were led by two-time Academic All-American Faith Holloway, who finished her degree with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
