Women's tennis honored with ITA academic awards

For the sixth year in a row, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association recognized the Chapman University women’s tennis team for its work in the classroom. While the Panthers earned the team award for the sixth year in row, seven Panthers were honored as ITA Scholar-Athletes.

In accordance with public health guidance and safety standards, as well as NCAA Resocialization recommendations, the SCIAC Presidents have unanimously agreed to cancel conference competition for NCAA categorized high-contact risk sports in the fall semester.
Chapman sets new high for SCIAC All-Academic selections

Nearly half of Chapman University student-athletes were recognized when the SCIAC released its annual All-Academic list today. Chapman set a new program high with 250 SCIAC All-Academic selections, far surpassing the previous high of 221.

The Chapman University women’s tennis team dropped a heartbreaker 5-4 to visiting Christopher Newport on Sunday. The back and forth match needed four tiebreakers and two more sets needed an extra game.

The Chapman University women’s tennis team rolled to a 7-2 victory over visiting Cal Lutheran in its SCIAC opener on Sunday. The Panthers (2-1, 1-0) won five of the six singles matches to clinch the win.
Women's tennis falls 7-2 to UCI

The Chapman University women’s tennis team took a couple points off of Division I opponent UC Irvine but ultimately fell 7-2. The Panthers took two double matches for an early lead but UCI swept the singles.

The Chapman University women’s tennis team opened its dual season with an 8-1 win over visiting Marymount University of California on Tuesday. A pair of freshmen picked up their first collegiate dual wins.

Newcomers shine at ITA West Regionals

The Chapman University women's tennis team sent six players to the ITA West Regional this past weekend at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Freshman Liza Antonova and junior Vasilisa Trofimova led the way with a couple of victories in Flight B.
