Tennis racks up five individual wins at Ojai

VENTURA, Calif — Six Chapman Tennis players, Olivia Desso, Aliya Allyn, Caleb Wilkins, Racquel Fhima, Lucy Erickson, and Mac Caldwell took their talents to the 120th annual Ojai Tennis tournament at Ventura College this weekend.

Panthers tennis players took home five match victories. Aliya Allyn and Caleb Wilkins advanced to the third round winning some tight matches. For Wilkins he won 7-5, 7-6 and 4-6, 6-4, 10-7. And Allyn took her matches 6-0, 6-0 and 6-4, 6-1 before losing 6-2, 6-1.

Lucy Erickson won the Panthers fifth victory. She won her first match 7-6, 1-6, 6-1 to move on to the second round.

Tennis will return to the Anderson Tennis Center on Apr. 29 to take on Cal Lutheran.
