Reece named SCIAC women's track Athlete of the Week

ORANGE, Calif. – Freshman Arabella Reece was named the SCIAC women's track Athlete of the Week after another record-breaking run. The track and cross country standout destroyed her previous school record in the event.

The distance runner from Murrieta, Calif., ran a SCIAC-best 4:44.28 in the 1500 meter run at the Irwin Scoring Meet at Point Loma Nazarane University. She beat her previous school record by over 12 seconds to take the top spot in the conference. Her 1500m time also currently ranks second in the West Region and fifth in all of Division III.

Reece has etched her name all over the cross country and track & field record books in her first year with the Panthers.

The Panthers are off this this weekend but return on Mar. 20 for SCIAC Multi-Dual #2 at La Verne.
