Volleyball swept by 11th-ranked Athenas

ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University volleyball team suffered its fourth loss in a row as No. 11 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps swept the Panthers on Homecoming. Sophomore Alex Corcoran led the Panthers (7-7, 4-4 SCIAC) with nine total blocks.

The Panthers fell in a sizeable hole in the first set but battled back to within four points as late as 21-17. The Athenas were able to pull away late to avoid the upset start.
