The Panthers (23-4) advance to take on Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the championship match on Saturday.

    The Chapman University volleyball team earned its 12th sweep of the season over the visiting Whittier College Poets earlier this evening 25-20, 25-23, 25-19. Sophomore Jessi Lumsden led the Panthers with 17 kills in the effort.

    The Chapman University volleyball team earned a 3-1 victory over La Verne earlier this evening, 25-18, 22-25, 25-9, 25-16. Sophomore Sophie Srivastava tallied her 10th triple-double this season, tying her single-season record from last year.

    It took a few extra points at the end but the Chapman University volleyball team bounced back with a Sunday sweep of UC Santa Cruz – 25-22, 25-13, 32-30. The Panthers moved to 18-3 on the season with the sweep.

    Sophomore Sophie Srivastava’s Division III-leading eighth triple-double of the season led the Chapman University volleyball team to a 25-13, 25-20, 25-21 sweep of visiting Redlands. With the victory, the Panthers (17-2, 10-0 SCIAC) pushed their school record win streak to 15 consecutive matches.

    The come-from-behind kids did it again, this time defeating Cal Lutheran 19-25, 21-25, 25-20, 25-16, 15-11 to notch their 13th win in a row. The Panthers were led by sophomore Sophie Srivastava, who tallied her third consecutive triple-double and seventh of the season.
  • Volleyball takes down No. 4 CMS for 10th straight win

    Down two sets to none, the Chapman University women’s volleyball team came roaring back to take down the No. 4 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athenas 14-25, 25-27, 25-14, 25-17, 15-10 on Tuesday in the Hutton Center. With the win, the Panthers seized the top spot in the SCIAC standings and won their 10th match in a row.
  • Volleyball extends win streak to eight with sweep of Occidental

    The Chapman University volleyball team swept the visiting Occidental Tigers earlier this evening for its eighth consecutive win. Junior Mavis Lui helped lead the Panthers, recording nine kills with a team-high .538 hitting percentage on the night.

    The Chapman University volleyball team quickly swept through Caltech to begin the SCIAC season with a win. Sophomore Jessi Lumsden led the Panthers (8-2, 1-0 SCIAC) with 14 kills and 12 digs in the 25-8, 25-16, 25-22 win.

    Another year and another school first for sophomore Sophie Srivastava. The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) selected the Panthers’ setter/right side hitter as the Division III Player of the Week, making her the first recipient of the award in Chapman history.
