Volleyball again recognized for AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the seventh year in a row, the Chapman University women's volleyball team has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association's Team Academic Award. The Panthers were part of a record-breaking number of recognized teams across all levels of volleyball.

The AVCA annually awards high school and collegiate volleyball teams from both genders that maintain a 3.3 team GPA or better. Chapman's student-athletes combined for a 3.56 team GPA to earn the annual academic recognition.

In total, a record number of 1,313 teams earned the AVCA Team Academic Award with another record of 231 NCAA Division III programs included in the list of recognized programs.
