ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University women's water polo team lost 10-5 to Cal Lutheran on Saturday morning. Senior Emily Fong tallied two assists, which pushed her into second place all-time in program history in assists.

Fong has been working her way up the ranks and now sits comfortably in second place, 31 assists behind the all-time leader.

The Regals started off the scoring in the first quarter, going up 1-0 in the first minute and a half. The Panthers answered right back, tying it up just 20 seconds later. Cal Lutheran continued their offensive push, scoring two more goals in the quarter to go ahead 3-1 heading into the second quarter.

Each team would score once in the second quarter to make the score 4-2 at halftime.

Chapman seniors Grace Schade and Emiko Mizusawa rallied their offense, scoring two goals each, but the Panthers' three late goals weren't enough to combat the six goals the Regals scored in the second half.

Junior Kerry Goodspeed was solid in the net once again, recording nine blocks and two steals.

The Panthers return to Allred Olympic Pool for senior day on Wed, April 12 at 4 p.m.
