CLAREMONT, Calif. – Senior Chris Reid made Chapman history on Saturday, becoming the first runner in Panther history to qualify for the NCAA Championships. Reid was an All-Region finisher at the NCAA West Regionals on Saturday.

Reid had his best career finish at a Regional meet, taking 10th overall. He was just eight second off his personal-best and school record time, finishing with a 26:03.50. He was less than a minute behind the 8k champion and edged out his closest competitor by two second to finish in the top-10.

With his top-10 finish, Reid accomplished a Chapman first and qualified for the NCAA Championship meet at Lake Breeze in Winneconne, Wis. on Sat., Nov. 21.

The men's team placed 18th overall while the women's team took 16th.
