Chabot garners SCIAC Pitcher of the Week honors

ORANGE, Calif. – After continuing to dominate the ninth inning, Henry Chabot has been recognized as the SCIAC Pitcher of the Week.

Chabot recorded a pair of saves last week to help the Panthers to a series sweep of Redlands. In his two innings pitched in the Redlands series, Chabot allowed no runs and did not surrender a hit. He issued one walk and picked up his fifth and sixth saves of the season.

The freshman righty is one of seven pitchers in Division III with at least six saves this season. He owns a 0.69 ERA this season with 15 strikeouts and five walks in 13 innings pitched.

The Panthers take on Occidental this weekend in a three-game SCIAC series. The series finishes with a doubleheader at Hart Park on Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m.
