Keefe honored on D3football.com Team of the Week

ORANGE, Calif. – Senior linebacker Dillon Keefe was selected to D3football.com's Team of the Week for the first time this season after Chapman's 23-21 win over George Fox. It is the third time in his career that he has earned the weekly honor.

He is just the second Chapman player to earn the award three times, joining former running back Jeremiah McKibbins.

Keefe continued his hot start to the season with three more sacks and another forced fumble to aid in the victory. He is tied for the national lead among all divisions of the NCAA with seven total sacks this year through his first three games after back-to-back weeks the three sacks. His four forced fumbles this year also leads Division III and is tied for the most in all of the NCAA.

The Chapman record books are also quickly filling up with Keefe's name. He currently ranks second all-time at Chapman in sacks, tackles for loss, blocked kicks and forced fumbles.

Chapman wraps up its non-conference segment with a 1 p.m. game at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday.
