Ahlers named SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week

ORANGE, Calif —On Monday, Oct. 24, Cooper Ahlers was named SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week. 

In football's 50-7 win over Whittier, Ahlers hauled in two interceptions, creating two of the Panther's four turnovers. He helped Chapman hold the Poets to a mere 268 yards of total offense and just one touchdown.

Ahlers and Chapman football return to the field on Nov. 5 after this week's bye, to take on Cal Lutheran at Ernie Chapman Stadium for senior day. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
