ORANGE, Calif. - The Panther men's soccer team fell to the Hope International Royals 4-1 Fri., Sep. 10 on Wilson Field. Aidan Wall scored the lone goal for Chapman, his fourth on the season.
A penalty kick put the Royals on the board first with a successful shot from John Mejia. Mejia continued to bolster the lead with a rocket into goal 25 minutes in with an assist from Baidy Ba.
Ba's second assist on the night came when Angel Florez put the Royals up 3-0 with a shot in the second. Wall answered with a goal off the Trevor Bay corner kick followed by an assist from Ryan Bridge.
Mejia finalized the 4-1 win with a free-kick rocket over the head of Chandler Siemonsma into the top center of the goal.
The Panthers return to Wilson field on Wed., Sept. 15 to face the Occidental Tigers at 4 p.m.
