Every team over a 3.2, 270 recognized as SCIAC All-Academic

The SCIAC recognized 270 Chapman University student-athletes on its annual All-Academic list. Collectively, Panther student-athletes raised the bar for academic achievement as every team achieved a 3.2 team GPA or better.

Chapman Athletics and the Chapman Student-Athlete Advisory Committee hosted the Second Annual Student-Athlete Awards with 21 team and individual awards handed out to honor on and off field achievements.

Wall, Howe honored on United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams

Seniors Aidan Wall and Tobi Howe each ended their careers with All-Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches. Wall was selected to the All- Region X First Team while Howe earned a spot on the Third Team.

Three Chapman soccer players have been recognized as Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators. Shannon Coyle and Maia Mills earned the distinction for the women’s soccer team while Tobi Howe represented the men’s soccer team.

Men's soccer leads early, season ends on penalty goal

Men’s soccer’s season ended on Saturday Nov. 12 to the tune of a 2-1 loss to the St. Thomas (Texas) Celts at the host site of Mary-Hardin Baylor. The Panthers went up early and had control of the game for the entirety of the first half. In the 12th minute of the contest, Riley Thomas was able to break away through the middle and found the back of the net. His second goal of the season couldn’t have come at a bigger time.

Men's soccer to begin regional in Texas

Men’s soccer will be heading to Belton, Texas to take on St. Thomas (Texas) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, on Saturday, Nov.12 at 5 p.m. CST.

In a game that surely looked like it would head into PKs notched at a scoreless tie, it was only fitting that a defenseman tallied the game winner for the Panthers in their 1-0 SCIAC Championship victory over the Occidental Tigers.

Hertel's early goal sends men's soccer to SCIAC Championship

Men’s soccer took home a 1-0 victory to move onto the SCIAC Championship match on Sunday, Nov. 6. The Panthers scored the only goal they needed right away in the sixth minute. Chapman had a corner kick opportunity and a few fortunate bounces off of some defenders left Sebastian Hertel with a great look at the goal. He rocketed in a right footer, at about chest height, straight into the back of the net.

Wall, Carrillo headline All-SCIAC men's soccer team

For the second year in a row, senior Aidan Wall headlined the All-SCIAC team as the Offensive Athlete of the Year and was joined by three more Panthers on the First Team. Head coach Eddie Carrillo, along with his assistants, Romeo Aguinaldo and Jose Vasquez, also earned the program’s first-ever Coaching Staff of the Year award.

Men's soccer clinches top seed on Senior Day

After a 0-0 draw with Occidental, the Chapman University men’s soccer team clinched the top seed in the SCIAC Tournament for the first time in program history. With the draw, the Panthers improved to 6-0-4 in the SCIAC and 9-1-6 overall.

Men’s soccer took home its ninth win of the season in a non-conference matchup against the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs, 2-1.

Men's soccer wins fourth in a row to stay atop SCIAC

The Chapman University men’s soccer team extended its win streak to four and unbeaten streak to six with a 3-1 win over visiting Pomona-Pitzer. Senior Aidan Wall scored his 10th goal of the season in the win.

Tobi Howe knocked in a penalty kick to lift the Chapman University men’s soccer team to a 1-0 win over Redlands on Wednesday. Chapman won its third consecutive match and remains unbeaten in its last five.

Men's soccer routs Caltech, jumps to first in SCIAC standings

October 08, 2022

Men’s soccer won its third contest in four matches on Saturday, Oct. 8 after a 7-2 rout of the Caltech Beavers. Hayden Rouse and Aidan Wall found the back of the net two times apiece and a five-goal second half spearheaded the Chapman offensive attack to its second-highest goals scored total on the season, behind 12 scored in the 12-1 victory over Bethesda.
