Déjà vu: Panthers defeated by Cal Lutheran, 7-2

ORANGE, Calif. - In a rematch of a February duel that saw Cal Lutheran defeat the Panthers 7-2 in Thousand Oaks, the Kingsmen repeated the feat on Saturday, beating the Chapman University men's tennis team 7-2 at the Chapman Tennis Courts.

The Panthers were led by junior Christian Isip who won the No. 2 singles match for the second straight day, defeating Paul Wetterholm in straight sets 6-1, 6-0. It was Isip's second win against Wetterholm, although he needed three sets to defeat him in February.

Isip and senior Clifford Yook paired up for Chapman's first point of the day, an 8-3 doubles victory over Cal Lu's Wetterholm and Forrest Hunt. The duo avenged a 9-7 loss to the Kingsmen earlier in the year.

Yook lost his singles match in a second-set tiebreak, 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) to Andrew Giuffrida for the second time this season and fell to 8-5 in singles play this spring.
