ORANGE, Calif — The Chapman Panthers took to the court on a blustery Tuesday, Mar. 8 afternoon and took home their first win of the season over Vassar College 7-2.
A pair of strong performances from Caleb Wilkins and Harry Cohen in their doubles and singles matches set the tone for the Panthers. Wilkins and Cohen were paired up to start the day and took care of business, winning their match 8-1.
In the following matches, Cohen and Wilkins won their singles sets — Wilkins easily at 6-2, 6-0, and Cohen in come-from-behind fashion, 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.
Around the court, Mason Marks and Tommy Hayes swept their singles matches, and Kevin DeHart won an incredible tiebreaker match. In DeHart's third set he won 10-6 to snag the winner-takes-all set.
After grabbing its first win of the season, Chapman takes the court again on Sunday when they host Babson at 1 p.m.
