Wilkins ends season with All-American honors

ORANGE, Calif. – After a career year that ended in the second round of the NCAA Division III Individual Championships, Caleb Wilkins earned All-America recognition from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Wilkins is the first Panther since 2009 to earn the award.

The year started strong for Wilkins as he was the runner-up at the ITA Fall West Regional and earned a bid to the ITA Cup in Rome, Ga. A strong dual season landed him All-SCIAC honors for the third time in his career and a bid to the NCAA Division III Individual Championships in Orlando, Fla.

Wilkins defeated his first round opponent in straight sets before falling the to the top seeded player in the second round. He ended the year ranked 24th in Division III and fifth in the West Region. He is just the fourth Panther to earn All-America honors in the Division III era of Chapman men's tennis and the first since Clifford Yook in 2009.
