Fosselman earns SCIAC Hitter of the Week

ORANGE, Calif. – After leading the Panthers in a doubleheader sweep, sophomore Grace Fosselman has been selected as the SCIAC Hitter of the Week. Fosselman went 4-for-5 in the doubleheader.

In the SCIAC-opening games, Fosselman added four runs scored and a pair of RBIs as well as a stolen base in her five trips to the plate. The Panthers fired on all cylinders after a long lay off in between early season games, winning both games of the doubleheader by run rule.

Fosselman is hitting .375 through the first nine games of the season and leads the team with six runs scored.

Chapman swept WPI yesterday to kick off a stretch of eight games in four days. The homestand continues today with a doubleheader against Alfred, starting at 3 p.m.
