A record number of Chapman student-athletes earn SCIAC All-Academic
July 18, 2022
Chapman University student-athletes set a new school record with 281 individuals earning SCIAC All-Academic recognition. The 281 individuals to earn the annual academic recognition are 22 more than year’s record-breaking number. The SCIAC annually recognizes student-athletes who have been at their institution for at least one academic year and finished the school year with a 3.4 cumulative GPA or better.

The Chapman University women’s golf team finished in fifth at the SCIAC Championships at Tukwet Golf Course. Kristen Lee led the team in 12th on the individual leaderboard.

Golf to compete in SCIAC championship

Men’s and Women’s golf will compete in the SCIAC Championships at the Morongo Canyon Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon this weekend in Beaumont. The tournament kicks off on Sunday, Apr. 22 and will conclude on Tuesday the 24th.
Truong in top-10, women's golf fourth at SCIAC #2

Rachel Truong finished in the top-10 and the Chapman University women’s golf team took fourth at SCIAC #2 at Mountain Meadows Golf Course. The Panthers took eight strokes off their team score on Sunday to stay in fourth place.

School records fell as the Chapman University women’s golf team opened the 2021 fall season with a fourth-place finish at the CA State Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday. Two single round records fell in Tuesday’s second round with sophomore Kaila Higgins’ record-breaking effort leading the team to a program low score.
