Women's lacrosse recognized for academic achievement by IWLCA

The Chapman University women’s lacrosse team was recognized on the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association’s list of Academic Honor Squads. Seven student-athletes also were honored individually on the Academic Honor Roll.
A record number of Chapman student-athletes earn SCIAC All-Academic

Chapman University student-athletes set a new school record with 281 individuals earning SCIAC All-Academic recognition. The 281 individuals to earn the annual academic recognition are 22 more than year’s record-breaking number. The SCIAC annually recognizes student-athletes who have been at their institution for at least one academic year and finished the school year with a 3.4 cumulative GPA or better.
Pelton named to IWLCA All-Region Second Team

On Thursday, May 19 Sophie Pelton was named to the IWLCA All-Region West Second Team. The second year defender had a dominant season, being the only member of the Panthers to be named to an All-Region team. She was also one of the four defenders named to the 16-person squad.
Late comeback comes up short in semifinal loss

A late run made it a game but the Chapman University women’s lacrosse team fell 22-19 to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the semifinals of the SCIAC Tournament. Two school records were tied or set in the high scoring affair.
Hereu honored as top newcomer, five on All-SCIAC teams

Anna Hereu made program history and headlined five All-SCIAC selections for the Chapman University women’s lacrosse team. Hereu became the Panthers’ first-ever major SCIAC award winner as the conference’s coaches picked her as the Newcomer of the Year.

Women’s Lacrosse will play in the SCIAC tournament semi-finals on Wednesday, May 4. As the third seed, the Panthers will take on the second seed, Claremont-M-S, in Claremont at 7 p.m.
Women's lacrosse falls in home finale

In their final home match of the season, the Chapman University women’s lacrosse team honored its six seniors in a pre-game ceremony but fell to the No. 25 Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens. The Panthers dropped their home finale 17-3.

Women's lacrosse cruises to win over Whittier

The Chapman University women’s lacrosse team defeated visiting Whittier 19-7 on Saturday to improve to 8-3 overall and 4-3 in the SCIAC. Corinn Valeri had three goals and three assists while Anna Hereu made 10 saves.

The winning streak stretched to seven mates in a row as the Chapman University women’s lacrosse team defeated visiting Occidental 18-11 in a SCIAC match on Wednesday. Vanessa Topete scored three times and picked up seven draw controls in the victory.
