Saunders earns All-SCIAC recognition to close out career
ORANGE, Calif. – Senior Madeline Saunders earned All-SCIAC First Team honors in her final year on the Chapman University women's tennis team. The Panthers lone senior finished her career with 42 singles wins – third-most in Chapman's history.
The Boise, Idaho, native played at the top of the Panthers' singles and doubles lineups all year. She won eight singles matches, including three in SCIAC matches. She won her final match in straight sets to help the Panthers take the seventh place match of the SCIAC Tournament.
Saunders concluded a four-year career that included 42 singles wins, including a 16-9 mark in 2015, and 34 doubles wins.
