Nine individuals, both teams earn ITA academic honors

ORANGE, Calif. – Both the men's and women's Chapman University tennis teams were recognized for outstanding academic achievement by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Additionally, four student-athletes off the men's team and five off the women's team earned individual recognition.

Both teams had a GPA above 3.2 to earn the distinction of an ITA All-Academic Team. The nine total student-athletes earned ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition for maintaining a GPA over 3.5 for the current academic year.

The women's team was represented by: Olivia Desso, Lucy Erickson, Alexis Golin, Goldie La and Brooke Waite.

The men's team was represented by: Josh Blinder, Ben Jorgenson, Danny Marsh and Caleb Wilkins.

The ITA annually issues its ITA Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams lists to recognize the outstanding work put in by collegiate tennis players in the classroom. This year, 125 Division III men's teams earned the team award with 1,012 student-athlete earning the Scholar-Athlete award. There were 160 Division III women's teams recognized as All-Academic with 1,204 Scholar-Athletes.
