ORANGE, Calif. – Chapman women's volleyball defeated the Caltech Beavers 3-0 in their third at-home sweep of the 2021 season.
The first set was a close battle for the Panthers with the score tied at 14-14 before Caltech pulled ahead, the set was at 22-22 before the Panthers inched their way to a 26-24 win.
Chapman's efforts sent them ahead in the second set holding the Beavers to only 17 points followed by a 25-19 victory in the third set to end the night.
Senior Jessi Lumsden secured 13 kills on the night followed by classmate Sophie Srivastava's eight. Cat Helgeson totaled 17 digs for the Panthers.
Chapman hits the road tomorrow to face the Bulldgos at Redlands at 2:00 p.m.
