Every team over a 3.2, 270 recognized as SCIAC All-Academic

The SCIAC recognized 270 Chapman University student-athletes on its annual All-Academic list. Collectively, Panther student-athletes raised the bar for academic achievement as every team achieved a 3.2 team GPA or better.

Panther pair recognized as ACWPC All-Americans

A pair of Panthers earned All-American honors from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches. Camille Chiang and Alyssa Fricker both were recognized as All-American for the second time in their respective careers.

Alyssa Fricker and Camille Chiang each earned selections to the All-SCIAC Second Team as announced by the conference on Wednesday. Chiang ends her career with an All-SCIAC selection in each season.

A late lead slipped away as the Chapman University women’s water polo team dropped a 15-14 heartbreaker to Whittier. Alyssa Fricker scored six goals to lead the Panthers but the Poets used a fourth quarter surge to get the comeback win.
Burton makes 19 saves but water polo falls to CLU

The Chapman University women’s water polo team fell 12-8 to visiting Cal Lutheran on Saturday. Georgina Burton made 19 saves – just shy of the Chapman record.

The Panthers were able to hang tough for the majority of the game, even heading into halftime down just one, with the score remaining 5-4 for nearly four minutes into the third quarter.
Chiang nets 100th career goal in loss

Camille Chiang netted her 100th career goal on a five-meter penalty to tie the game at seven in the third quarter.
Women's water polo cruises to pair of home wins

The Chapman University women's water polo team defeated Connecticut College and Occidental in a Wednesday doubleheader at Allred Pool. After every active field player scored in a 20-4 win over Connecticut College, the Panthers capture their first SCIAC win of the season with a 15-7 victory over Occidental.
Chiang, Bridges combine for nine points in win

The Panthers played a SCIAC contest earlier in the day against Whittier, losing 12-10, so they looked to bounce back and end the day on a high note. And that they did, dominating Macalester for four quarters, leading by seven at one point midway through the fourth quarter. The Panthers were helped by Camille Chiang and Julia Bridges combining for five goals, and Bridges adding four assists.

Alyssa Fricker continues her monstrous season, already tying a program record in goals over the weekend, she added six more in the loss tonight.
Chiang nets three in women's water polo loss

The Panthers came out swinging with Camille Chiang notching the first score. She would finish with three on the evening. Scoring came at a premium as that goal was one of the five total goals of the second half.

One of the few bright spots for Chapman was the play of Georgina Burton who came into goal in the second half. With the score already at 11-1, Burton held the Eagles to just four goals in the final 16 minutes.
Markell dubbed SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week

Markell was on fire in women's water polo's home opener. She scored eight of the Panthers' 17 goals en route to a last second, 17-16 victory over Westcliff.

Women’s water polo took home its first win of the season in dramatic fashion as All-American transfer Alyssa Fricker connected on a game-winning goal with four seconds remaining to send Chapman home with the victory, 17-16.
