Mirro garners weekly SCIAC award

ORANGE, Calif. – Junior Maddie Mirro ran up the all-time list for Chapman University cross country and was rewarded with SCIAC Athlete of the Week honors.

Mirro set a new personal-best in the 5k race with a time of 18:44.5. She paced the Panthers for the second week in a row and moved on the Panthers' all-time list with the fourth-fastest time.

In a field full of NCAA Division II and junior college runners, Mirro took 13th at the Biola Invitational.

Chapman is at the UCR Invitational on Saturday before a two-week break in competition.
