  • Senior goalkeeper Kristin Kleinow has added on to her Chapman University all-time save record, blocking 10 shots in the SCIAC Semifinal match to raise her total save count to 322.
  • Claremont-Mudd-Scripps edged out the visiting Cal Lutheran 3-2 Saturday in overtime to send them to the SCIAC Championship. The Athenas (15-5-1 overall and 11-2-1 in conference) will host the Panthers (9-8-2 overall and 6-7-2 in conference) on Sat. Nov. 5 at 7pm.
  • Claremont-Mudd-Scripps is led by senior forward Laynee Laube, who leads the SCIAC with nine goals and scored the game-winning goal in overtime of the semifinal game. Right behind her is senior forward Katelyn Faust who has eight goals this year.
  • The Athenas have won both matches against the Panthers this season – 5-0 at Claremont and 4-3 in the final regular season match. Chapman is 16-8-4 overall against the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps side.
  • The Panther freshmen have been an offensive force against the Athenas, scoring all three goals for the Chapman side the last time these two teams faced off. Out of Chapman's team total 23 goals, freshmen have netted 14 of those. Chapman has outscored its opponents 17-4 in wins, but has been outscored 23-5 by opponents in losses.
  • The Panthers are coming off a Cinderella story win against the top seed in the SCIAC and No. 17 nationally-ranked Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens. Chapman prevailed over the Sagehens, who were previously unbeaten in SCIAC play, 1-0 in penalty kicks. Senior Katie Bell was the only player to hit the back of the net in the match when she converted the Panthers fourth PK attempt.
