Chapman Athletics hosted another Town Hall on July 28 for student-athletes and their families to deliver updates and answer question on the impact of the cancellation of high-risk sports through the end of the school year.

In accordance with public health guidance and safety standards, as well as NCAA Resocialization recommendations, the SCIAC Presidents have unanimously agreed to cancel conference competition for NCAA categorized high-contact risk sports in the fall semester.
Volleyball again recognized for AVCA Team Academic Award

Chapman sets new high for SCIAC All-Academic selections

Nearly half of Chapman University student-athletes were recognized when the SCIAC released its annual All-Academic list today. Chapman set a new program high with 250 SCIAC All-Academic selections, far surpassing the previous high of 221.

The Chapman University women’s volleyball team fell to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 13-25, 23-25, 17-25 in the SCIAC Championship match earlier this evening. The Panthers reached the Championship match for the second time in program history after posting an impressive 14-2 ledger in conference play.

Down two sets to one, the Chapman University volleyball team stormed back to defeat Cal Lutheran 20-25, 25-23, 18-25, 25-14, 15-9 to advance the championship round of the SCIAC Postseason Tournament. The Panthers (23-4) advance to take on Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the championship match on Saturday.
